Shanghai, CHINA – April 8, 2016 – The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) will be participating at the 30th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries - Chinaplas 2016 - located at Hall N2, Booth J41 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Dow’s Packaging and Specialty Plastics (P&SP) business will showcase its leading innovative packaging technologies and solutions which address Asia’s growing appetite for sophisticated packaging.

The rise of more discerning consumers is driving demand for innovative packaging that not only meets product safety standards but also delivers superior quality and sustainability.
Fueled by this demand, the plastic packaging market in Asia Pacific is undergoing rapid technological expansion and development to create high performance packaging solutions to meet consumers’ needs. Dow will be introducing a new range of innovative and sustainable solutions at its booth at Chinaplas 2016 through a new design concept. The ‘Home, Sweet Home’ booth design demonstrates how Dow products have enabled everyday household items to deliver unique sustainable and ecological benefits.
Visitors to Dow’s booth can explore the ‘Container’ and ‘Green House’ to experience how Dow’s packaging solutions are creating new opportunities for transportation and agriculture companies, while meeting the specific needs of consumers.
Another highlight is the ‘Artificial Turf Corridor’ that allows visitors to experience first-hand world-class artificial turf made with Dow technologies. Dow’s artificial turf solution will be the official playing surface for hockey competitions during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
At the exhibition, Dow will introduce an upper deck at the booth, named the ‘Innovation Center’ where four new products from Dow P&SP will be showcased for the first time at Chinaplas. Attendees to the Dow “Innovation Center” can learn about:
